Delicious Turkish meatballs served with eggplant mash



Do you miss Turkey and Alanya when you are not here? 
Well, then we understand how you feel.

Especially the Turkish cuisine is worth traveling for, and many rightly believe that it is among the best in the world.
 
We have received a recipe from the website www.webopskrifter.dk on how to make some delicious Turkish meatballs, in Turkey called "köfte".
 
We took the recipe to En Vie Beach restaurant where it was used to create the dish "Balkan köfte", which consist of the Turkish meatballs and a mash made on eggplant.
 
So go ahead and try it out for yourself. Below are both recipes as well as a small video made.
 
Enjoy your meal!
 
Turkish meatballs // www.webopskrifter.dk
--- Ingredients, approx. 16 pcs. ---
1 kg of minced beef
2.5 teaspoons salt
2 red onions
1 fresh chili
1 handful of fresh mint
2 handfuls of fresh broad-leaved parsley
4 cloves garlic
2.5 tbsp peppers
1 tbsp oregano
2.5 tablespoons cumin
Pepper
Oil and butter for frying
 
For serving:
Natural yogurt
Pomegranate
Fresh broad-leaved parsley
 
Put the minced beef in a bowl and add salt.
 
Chop red onion, chili, mint and parsley and add it to the minced beef. 
Add garlic, pepper, oregano and cumin. 

Now form the meatballs and fry them over medium heat in a mixture of butter and oil until well done.
 
Serve the Turkish meatballs with natural yoghurt, and garnish with fresh pomegranate seeds and parsley.
 

Pureed Eggplant // En Vie Beach Restaurant
--- Ingredients, 2-3 people ---
40 grams of butter
40 grams of flour
300 ml of milk
3 grilled eggplants
Mozzarella cheese
Salt
Pepper
Nutmeg
 
Melt the butter and add flour. Then add milk and make a bechamel sauce. Salt, pepper and nutmeg are added after this.
Peel the grilled eggplant, add the mozzarella together and heat it so that the cheese melts.
